Hello,
Thanks for joining me. My name is Heather, and the following journal documents my two week visit to Israel this past August. This trip was not just a vacation for me, but a homecoming of sorts. You see, my parents and my little sister still live in Jerusalem. This will be their ninth consecutive year there. I lived there with them during my high school years, and I made many lifelong friendships, had memorable experiences, and discovered much of who I am as a person. Most of my friends still live there today because they feel as I do towards the land -- it is their home!

I had not been back in five years time, and I was thrilled about this trip. I had many wonderful experiences that I am excited to share with you. Much of what I did there pertains to historical events and biblical events. I hope that this journal interests you and I hope to inspire someone to visit the land for themselves ... someday!
