Instead of one long vacation this summer, we are taking a couple mini-vacations. The reason being, we plan on taking our big vacation in October this year, something we’ve never done before. I’ve heard you can get so much more out of Disney World in the “off season,” so we’re going to give it a try. The kids have never been, so they are really excited. This is in the planning stages right now, so we’ll see how it goes.

Our mini-vacation this weekend is to San Antonio. We go there at least once every summer (we actually went twice last summer!). San Antonio is a great city. There’s so much to do. As many times as we’ve been there, I still have not made it to all the places I’d like to see. Last year we went to Sea World. This year we’re going to Fiesta Texas. None of us have been there before, so it should be fun. We also plan to go to the River Walk (we’ve been there countless number of times, but I still love it!) and the drive-through safari right outside of San Antonio. We try to visit the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch every time we go to San Antonio. It’s so much fun! One place I’ve always wanted to go to, but we never seem to make it, is the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. I’ve heard it’s beautiful! I’ve already put in my request to try and squeeze it in this weekend. We’ll see if I actually make it this trip!
