When traveling to Mexico, is it better to convert your money or just use American?
Mexico will take U.S. dollars. Charge as much as you can on a credit card the exchange rate is better, and you do not need to carry Mexican currency. Always agree on the exchange rate in advance if you are paying with U.S. dollars. Use any excess change for small gifts at the airport, food, etc. There is never a need to have Mexican currency when you return home."
