Are there activities for children under 12 at ski lodges?

First make the decision as to whether or not you want the ski trip to be a family trip with the kids or an adult getaway? I myself am an avid skier and I have great childhood memories of going on ski trips with my family as I was growing up. Children are great learners and if you are planning on taking more ski trips it is best to start the children early so they can become a great skier in no time. Most if not all ski areas have a trained instructor on site to give lessons to adults as well as children of all ages.
So yes, I do believe that there are plenty of things right at your ski site that can occupy your children's time there. Get them involved. Make it a family tradition that each year the family takes a ski trip they will cherish the memories for a lifetime. For those children who are too young to begin to ski, most ski sites have a lot of fun activities to keep your children busy while you are on the slopes. Babysitting is usually available as well. Counselors provide fun activities in a camp type program to those children who just do not want to ski.
So again I would say make the decision as to whether you want this ski trip to be a family outing or just an adult getaway, and once that has been decided you will be on your way to a most enjoyable ski vacation with or without your children.
