Who is liable if someone gets hurt in the hotel's fitness room or pool?
Liability issues are complicated and vary by hotel, state, country and circumstances. But, most hotels carry insurance for hotel guests, yet there are often disclaimers at pool such as "swim at own risk," etc. It's best to make sure you have your own personal medical insurance and not to rely on the hotel's. If there is an incident, get medical attention first and have the safety of your own policy. If you then are looking for a liability claim, check with your attorney and will vary based on where hotel is, circumstances, etc.
