Well, I have been so wrapped up in my own little world, I haven't had much time for Kay and Antonio! Isn't that horrible? They are doing great though. They are very busy looking for a house to buy. I can see what good friends they will become and it gives me such a wonderful feeling! :0)
Tomorrow, their son and my son will start school together at the same school! My truck is broken so Antonio has offered to come and pick us up in the morning! I just think that is so nice. I think maybe they feel they owe me, but they don't. I, surely, didn't do this for self-gratification. Anyway, Alex is very excited about starting school with Adrien! The school board still hasn't decided what grade to put Adrien in. He was in Grade 7 in India but they start school earlier there. Kay really wants him in a grade with children his own age. Even if he is a little bored at first, I agree with her and see it as a benefit socially to him.
I think now that everything is pretty much settled, Kay and Antonio are going to buckle down and find jobs. I don't see there being any problem for them in finding jobs here. I think they will do great in their new life here.
What a journey! From Dubai to Canada! I am just amazed! This family has given up everything to come to a new country and they are just adjusting so well! I am so happy for them. The most wonderful thing about the whole experience for me is that our families have become such good friends. It's like it was meant to be this way. I always have to figure things out and I guess this is one of those things that just can't be explained. Two families from opposite sides of the earth, meeting online, sharing experiences, and meeting in such an odd way and yet becoming so close! I love it. A lot of people think the internet is harmful because there are strangers online, but from my experience, I can honestly say the Internet hasn't just opened up a cyberworld for me and my family, but a real one.
Happy travels everyone!
Paris and family! :0)
