Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

We got up early this morning to get ready to leave. My parents, aunts and uncles, and my grandparents all went out to brunch and my cousins and I stayed home. After brunch, most of the family went to a football game. My sister goes to Vanderbilt University and my mom's side of the family are die hard University of Tennessee fans. What is the chance that on the weekend we are in Nashville there would be a UT vs. Vandy game? We had to get on the road before anyone got back from brunch.

We got on the road about noon. It was dark and rainy. I love the drive, no matter what the weather. After about 30 minutes it stopped raining and a low fog hung over the hills and mountains. It was beautiful. There is this one low point right before you get to Monteagle going south. It is all surrounded by green mountains and farmland. When we got there, oh, it was amazing. What a great day for a drive. The sun was just peaking through the clouds and the tops of the mountains were being hugged by low lying clouds. It was like heaven.

Once we arrived in town, we stopped by the mall for a little bit of a break. The babies got a good change and we got to stretch our legs. It was a great de-stresser and I bought a pair of leather pants. We stayed at the mall for about an hour and then drove the rest of the way home. It was nice to be able to get out and unpack. We fed the kids a late dinner and then they went to bed.

We had such a nice trip. I a thrilled I that I have been able to share my Thanksgiving and Christmas with you. Thank you.

Jenna
