I finally stepped off the plane at about 1 a.m., and went through the
passport check fairly quickly. It only took me about 20 minutes, which
is
a record for Tel-Aviv! I have stood in that line for an hour, one time
before.
My parents and my sister were waiting for me. It was wonderful to see them again! I haven't seen Raquel in almost five years.
After a 45 minute drive back to Jerusalem, I unpacked all the things that I had brought for them. That was fun! Raquel seemed to like all her clothes and makeup I brought for her!
I finally fell into bed around 4 a.m. I was extremely tired and hoped
for a
good nights sleep.
This morning my brother called at about 9 a.m., but my parents didn't wake me up to talk to him until 10. It was really good to hear from him. He is doing wonderful and is enjoying his job in the Marines. I am glad for him. Basically, he is doing demolition, and proceeded to explain to me how it is they actually destroy a tank! It was a very interesting conversation. He really cracks me up sometimes.
