If You're Ever In Wilmette, Illinois...
By Elisa All
If you're ever in Wilmette, Ill., make sure to go to Kohl's Children's Museum! This bright and friendly place offers children of all ages the opportunity to play and learn at the same time. Kids can dabble in the arts, painting pictures and painting their faces! They can learn about construction while using "real life" equipment. Little consumers can shop at a kid-sized shopping center, loading up their carts with products, then unloading them at the cashier station and ringing up their purchases.
There's a life-sized train car and convertible car for kids to play in, as well as toy trains and cars to play with. There's a water room filled with wet activities, and a new feature every now and then to keep life interesting. For the PC lovers among us, there are rows of computers with educational games for kids to enjoy.
The museum can be crowded when school classes attend on field trips, but otherwise there's plenty of space to run around. You can rent out the museum for private parties for $1500, or birthday parties during regular hours for $180 for patrons, $155 fo members. The museum is located at 165 Green Bay Road, Wilmette, IL 60091.
For more information, contact the museum at 847-256-6056.
