If You're Ever In Watertown, New York...
By Joanne M. Flaherty
The park also has a vast array of trails both in black top and nature. I like both kinds of trails and have found myself on the nature trails feeling like I was Little Red Riding Hood in a fairy tale, making my exercise routine so enjoyable. I have enjoyed utilizing most all of the park. However, I still have not had the pleasure of enjoying the park's zoo. I have only peeked at it from the outside. But I know there is an informative pamphlet that seems to catch the eye of people of all ages.
I recommend that anyone visiting or living in the Watertown area visit the park and enjoy the best of what America has to offer, which can bring peace, health and plain old good fun without fear of drugs, loud music. It also offers transportation by the public transportation system. If you care to indulge in the "American spirits," just remember: No glass is allowed in the park for safety reasons.
Thompson Park is "the bomb," as the children say these days and "way cool," as us "old ladies" would say.
