If You're Ever In Vancouver, Canada...
By Simon
If you're ever in Vancouver, Canada, and if it's summer, and if you have anyone under the age of 13 with you, you must go to Granville Island.
For $2 take the refurbished 1905 historic railway tram running along False Creek. Get off at Granville and walk to the water park. Sit down on the lawn by the duck pond and enjoy the show as your kids follow the colored ribbon paths, run through water curtains teeming with real rainbows, pummel one another with water cannons or dare to stand over nozzles about to erupt.
And if that's not enough, they can go on the twisting, turning water slide! All free. That's right, free! Grab a coffee, and in case they haven't worked off all that energy yet, pop into the Kids Only Market right next door. Granville Island water park is special, and for the price of a coffee and a tram ride, you're all coming home with smiles on your faces.
