If You're Ever In Utica, New York...
By Hannah Hagarty
My family lives in beautiful upstate New York with its colorful seasons and breathtaking scenery. One of our favorite places to visit is Panther Mountain, about a half-hour north of Utica. The climb is less than a mile, but filled with glacier carved boulders that sap some of the endless energy out of kids and make us adult's hearts pump a little harder. Before you know it, you're at the top, looking over miles and miles of the most beautiful country God made. Mountains, lakes, and rolling country lanes appear somehow majestic from up so high. In spring, the newness of recovering earth delights us with hues of greens and yellows and blues. In fall, the earth is soft and warm in shades if gold and red. We love where we live and wouldn't trade it for anything!
