. The movie finishes just in time for Sea World's fireworks show. Inquire about their family special at 888-344-2626 or www.paradisepoint.com.

Upon check-in at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort children receive a treasure-hunt map. Families roam the resort to search for answers to the seven questions. Children can trade their map in for a tasty treasure treat at the RRR market. Flotation toys, colorful balls and rings float in the tropical pool to keep children safe and entertained. Nearby is a game arcade, kids club, spa/gym and tennis courts. The resort has a walkway to the Silver Strand beach with shuttle service daily. For more information call 800-235-6397.

We watched the excitement build as Captain Bob drove the "boat with wheels" into Mission Bay. Children squealed with delight as cameras snapped pictures of penguins splashing in their "behind the scenes" home at Sea World. Touring on the Sea and Land Tour is a great way for families to explore San Diego. The tour starts in Seaport Village where guests climb a ladder, take their seats and discover San Diego by land and sea. Hear tales about a ghost living in room 309 at the Horton Grand Hotel. Drive by one of the Wyland life-size whale murals in Little Italy and splash down into San Diego Bay and view the gigantic aircraft carriers in port. For tour times call The Sea and Land Tours at 619-298-8687.

During the summer months, Sea World's Circue de la Mer is the most spectacular show. Adults and children are mystified as half human/half sea creatures perform breathtaking feats in the air and on the water stage in Mission Bay. Year-round, Fools with Tools is a comedy hit, showcasing talented sea lions and a gigantic walrus. My favorite is theirPets Rule, starring dogs and cats recently rescued from local animal shelters. Be sure to watch the Pirates 4-D and be prepared to get wet. For more information on San Diego call at 619-236-1212 or go to www.sandiego.org.
