If You're Ever In Novato, California...
By Patricia Miranda
If you're ever in Marin County, Novato, Calif., be sure to stop by Indian Valley Park. This park starts at the Indian Valley College of Marin and continues through into the many acres of open space behind the college. There are hiking trails, mountain biking paths and horse trails (the horse stables are located at the end of the college). Before you reach the open space, there is a beautiful baseball field and adjacent to that field is a lacrosse/soccer field with a backdrop of the mountains and the open space. There are easy level trails if you want to take young children or elderly grandparents. However, if you are a "die hard" hiker, there are trails that will keep your heart rate pumping. This is a wonderful park! Adults love it, kids love it, and best of all -- its free!
