If You're Ever In Ennis, Texas...
By D. Smith
If you're ever in Ennis, Texas, be sure to stop by Bubba's Bar-B-Q and Steakhouse. There's no chance you'll miss it. I stopped for a quick bite on my way to Dallas because of all the signs along the highway. By the time I did get to Ennis, I just had to see what all the fuss was about!
You'll feel like you're sitting in a friend's house instead of a restaurant. It's relaxing, very laid back and somewhere you wouldn't mind sitting a spell. Antique airplanes hang from the ceiling, memorabilia from days past line the walls and Opie peeks out at your from under the TV mounted high on the wall.
The food is good too! Start by telling them what kind of meat you'd like. Watch as he cuts it for you, puts it on a plate and sends you on your way. Head down the cafeteria-style line and add all the fixins' you want to your plate. You'll find everything from beans to turnip greens, to cole slaw and potato salad. In the dining area you'll find help-yourself condiments and a big Crock Pot full of steaming barbecue sauce.
Bubba's Bar-B-Q and Steakhouse is located at 210 S. I-45. For more information call 972-875-0036.
