If You're Ever In Cleveland, Georgia...
By Shari Roth
If you're ever in Northeast Georgia, take the time to check into Babyland General Hospital, the birthplace of the original Cabbage Patch Babies. Babyland General Hospital is located in Cleveland, Ga., north of Atlanta. There is no entry fee to tour the hospital.
Mother Cabbage gives birth to a Cabbage Patch baby several times a day. Children are invited to watch the magical entrance these babies make and are asked to name the baby after it is born. It is the perfect place to spend an hour with your little ones.
My son is 3 1/2 years old, and we went twice this summer. He loves to go there and see the new babies, to visit the preemies in the incubators and to play among the "kid size" Cabbage Patch Kids. There are many opportunities for a great photo of your child!
