If You're Ever In Azusa, California...
By Amber Housouer
When I was very young the most important thing in the world to me was the weekend, because this is when my grandma would pick me up from my mother's house and take me far away to her beautiful town called Azusa, Calif. She lived in a gated community in a huge condo, which over looked the community's own private lake. It was as big as a football field. Every time I went there I felt so rich!
My grandma always went to fancy restaurants and knew all the cute and fun ones too. One weekend when she picked me up she took me back to her house and let me get all dressed up in her fancy clothes so that we could go to Mimis cafe. She said it was a "girls cafe" and that made me feel that I was grown up enough to go with to this cafe. I was excited!
When we arrived at the cafe I could tell that I was going to love it. When we walked in through the patio there was all sorts of people having a good 'ol time! Inside the cafe, the very first thing I noticed was this tall statue fountain. There was lot's of flowers everywhere. Pinks and greens painted on the walls, with windows put on all of the walls to add a little charm. This cafe had a lot of interesting things to look at. The menu was very nice too. My favorite was the patty melt, with extra onions, and a Shirley Temple to drink! My grandma turned me on to those too!
I recommend this restaurant to any one who wants to go to a fun, and very tasteful cafe that will leave lasting memories like it did for me.
