Out on the Town

For a night of luxury we chose to take a harbor cruise aboard the Hornblower. The cheerful camerawoman snapped a photo of us as we boarded the ship before a helpful attendant ushered us to our table. Within minutes, we were sailing into the harbor while being entertained by a live band. The music was pleasant and upbeat. Several times during the night we hopped onto the dance floor to work off a few calories.

Our meals were delicious! Both of us remarked on how tasty our food was. People sharing the table with us promised they had been on several dinner cruises and hadn't eaten as well on any of the others. The fee was a little steep but included the cruise and dinner. For special occasions it is worth the price.

Excursions

With its harbor-based ocean-view restaurants and upscale shops, one of our favorite picturesque areas just outside San Francisco was Sausalito. A short 20-minute ferry ride from the wharf of Sn Francisco to Sausalito makes it an easy excursion. Because of its accessibility, this lovely town is a charming spot for a day excursion. It is clean, breezy and understated in a sophisticated way.
