A Woman's Playground

Zanies Comedy Club located at 1548 North Wells is the best spot for nonstop hilarity. The night we visited Zanies, the two polished comedians entertained us as they enlightened us on some of the more bizarre human tendencies. We didn't stop laughing all night and found ourselves chuckling about their routines for days.
Excalibur and Visions nightclubs are side by side and provide dance opportunities for all age groups. Thankfully, the night my friend and I went dancing we were relieved to find women of all ages at Excaliber. It was refreshing not to be the "old ladies" who stood out like a bad bleach job at a brunette festival. Because there were so many different ages and types of people celebrating at Excalibur, we felt right at home. We danced together all night and were never harassed or bothered by any of the men at the club.
When the dance floor was so full we didn't have room to move, we ventured next door to Visions. Initially it was a techno shock for us as we listened to the synthesized music and watched Generation Xers rule the floor. But within a few minutes, we were tempted once again. We gyrated on the floor with the best of them until we had worked up a sweat and faced exhaustion. 
For a bit of indulgence, Duck Cruises offers a twilight dinner cruise. A playful DJ keeps the dance hits rolling, and limber crewmembers teach the passengers new dance steps. This is definitely an adventure for ladies who like to get on the dance floor. There is a playful atmosphere on this journey around the Chicago harbor. A full buffet complete with tempting desserts is provided for each guest. For those ladies who want a night of indulgence – check out the Duck!
