Cancun
Mexico's Ecological Playground

Want to learn more about the Mayan culture? Visit the ruins in Tulum, approximately 60 miles south of Cancun. Considered the most important archeological site on Mexico's Caribbean coast, the ruins were one of the main ceremonial centers of the Maya. Make sure the kids wear comfortable walking shoes! Cost to visit the ruins is $4, but free on Sundays. El Rey, another archaelogical zone closer to downtown Cancun, is another trip to consider. El Rey is believed to be more than 2,000 years old.
Gabriel Rosel, operations manager at The Beach Palace Resort, describes the service at his all-inclusive hotel as "magic." Magic not only describes the service, but everything about this fabulous establishment.
The pool is the perfect spot to relax or enjoy organized activities such as water basketball or volleyball. Parents can enjoy a drink at the swim-up bar, then watch the kids play in the kiddie pool. For those who want to continue exercising while away, a gym is available with free weights, running machines and other workout equipment, and one lighted tennis court is on site.
