Aloha Kids
Experiencing Hawaii, Family Style
By Elisa Ast All
Few Oahu hotels can compare to Turtle Bay. Turtle Bay's beachfront includes the beauty of Kawela Bay, Kuilima Cove and, of course, Turtle Bay. Only 45 minutes from the high pulse and energy of Honolulu, guests enjoy the natural tranquility of the North Shore lifestyle and spectacular ocean views from every one of the 443 beach cottages and guest rooms.
The newly renovated Turtle Bay Resort offers a wide array of recreational activities that appeal to every member in the family. The oceanfront pools offer an 80-foot waterfall and slide into the heated lagoon-style pool. There are two world-class championship golf courses, a tennis center with private instruction and clinics, horse stables with trail rides and a full-service spa. During the winter, dramatic 20-foot waves breaking nearby offer breathtaking sunset views. In the spring and summer, nearby Turtle and Kawela Bays provide great sea turtle watching.
Just minutes away, guests enjoy one of Hawaii's most popular destinations, The Polynesian Cultural Center, and many other famous Oahu attractions. The Keiki Turtle Club introduces children to the unique Hawaiian culture through arts and crafts, beach activities and games. Activities include swimming, reef walks, pole fishing, night sand crab hunts, campfires, horse and carriage rides, Hawaiian arts and crafts, Hawaiian games and lei making.
