If You're Ever In St. Joseph, Michigan...
By Kristi Barker
The town of St. Joseph, Mich. is so much fun to visit, especially in the summer. St. Joseph is located on Lake Michigan in Southwest Michigan about 45 minutes from Indiana.
It has one of the best beaches on Lake Michigan and is a main getaway for Chicagoans in the summer. St. Joe is located across Lake Michigan from Chicago and on a clear night you can sit on Silver Beach and see the Chicago skyline.
On the July 4th you can sit on Silver Beach and watch the fireworks light up the sky. The reflection of the colors are amazing below in the water and on all of the boats.
Every July there is the Venetian Festival where many bands come to play, they have a lighted boat parade, fireworks, sand sculpting, great food and a mini amusement park.
If you love looking at art, then St. Joe is also a great place to come with many art museums and galleries.
I grew up in St. Joseph, and even though I have gotten married and moved away it is my favorite place to come!
