And for die-hard shoppers, Miami and the surrounding areas provide an endless variety of shops and boutiques, including some amazing outlet stores.

A Personal Experience

Having experienced this paradise myself, both as a child in the Just Us Kids program many years ago and as an adult with my own children, I can honestly say there are few places on earth I would rather be. We spent our days relaxing at the beach with no pressure to be anywhere for meetings or deadlines. The kids' biggest decision was whether to stay at the beach or go up to the pool. When we did want some alone time, we put the kids in the Just Us Kids camp, and they were equally as happy, meeting new friends and exploring new places.

Each afternoon we napped with the windows open, lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. Then we would spend twilight on our balcony, watching the sunset and smelling the ocean air as the coolness of night rolled in. After the kids ate and we put them to bed, a babysitter provided by the hotel would come up to our room and we would have the chance to go out as adults. We walked on the beach, drank by the pool and ate wonderful meals on the island, returning to our room completely exhausted.

If you are looking for a vacation in paradise, but don't want to travel overseas, visit the Sonesta Beach Hotel and Resort on Key Biscayne. It is paradise found!
