Island Paradise Found
Sonesta Beach Resort, Key Biscayne

The renowned "Just Us Kids" program at the Sonesta has been offered since the hotel was built in 1969. It is open to children ages 5 through 12. Specially-trained counselors lead field trips, beach and pool games, sports activities and arts and crafts classes. A game room gives kids plenty to do on rainy days. Younger children are eligible for the "Just Us Little Kids" program, which has activities and toys that are age appropriate. Finally, the Sonesta offers a "Teens Only" resort schedule of activities, which includes beach volleyball, movies and laser tag.
If you feel the need to leave the hotel, the surrounding area offers many activities for both kids and adults. Parrot Jungle is a must-see attraction, giving kids the chance to see and feed parrots up close. The shows offered at Parrot Jungle include a Monster and Dragon show that is both exciting and scary at the same time, as well as a monkey show, educating kids on five different types of monkeys and how similar they are to humans.
The Miami Seaquarium is home to the famous Flipper the Dolphin, as well as a killer whale and other shows and attractions that thrill and sometimes soak the audience.
Finally, the Miami Zoo is one of the best in the nation. Animals are exhibited in their natural habitats with no gates. You feel as though you can touch the elephants and pet the giraffes. But bring good walking shoes!
