For the extra romantic touch, there are two restaurants couples should make a point of visiting. Il Bistro on First and Pike right off the water is known for its ambiance and gourmet dining. Palisades located at 2601 West Marine Place is the spot where many Seattle couples dine for anniversaries and special occasions.

Excursions

Want to feel like you are walking on air while holding your sweetie's hand? Check out the Space Needle. Near the top on the observation level it is possible to see for miles. Mt. Ranier's silhouette is visible in the distance, as are many historical landmarks. There are plenty of informative signs and guides available to describe the sights.

For a trip into a mystical – even magical – world, take a stroll through the Seattle Aquarium. This watery tourist spot hosts some of the more common adorable sea animals like otters and seals, but it also has creatures rarely seen. Inside a special area of the aquarium, huge tanks hold nothing but sea horses. Their fluttery fins and fluted faces make them hard to leave. Although the sea horses are undeniably cartoon-like, the leafy sea dragons housed nearby are closer to mystical than the believable. Their green and yellow leafy sprouts and slow locomoting make them some of the most mysterious sea creatures on the planet.

Seattle is the home of Starbucks, Seattle's Best Coffee and Tully's. Sitting down in a quaint coffee house and sipping a hot cup with your honey is a sweet way towarm up. Coffee shops provide opportunities for hand holding, smooching and a bit of gossip all while you read the morning paper. All three coffee companies have fresh brewed specialties and friendly staff members.
