If You're Ever In Lewes, Delaware...
By Belinda
If you're ever in Lewes, Del. you will enjoy a rich lesson in American history, a plethora of old houses, cute shops and great food all year long. In the summer, this seaside community is bustling with tourists from Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and nationwide. There are pristine beaches both on the bay and at Cape Henlopen State Park
where the Atlantic glimmers and jumps with crabs and porpoises. Both beaches are just minutes from Lewes. But Lewes has a respectable year-round population, too, and there's activities going on all of the time, such as the Lewes Historical Society's Annual Christmas House Tour in December.
